What is Animal Kingdom all about? What comes into your mind when I ask this question (This is not a trick question – it’s in the title of the park)?
Among the many animal species at Animal Kingdom, birds are the most diverse and the most plentiful (aside from maybe the bugs, but that’s another story). Birds are everywhere at Animal Kingdom, even at lunch.
But there are no places where the birds are more terrifying plentiful than the fabled Flights of Wonder.
The purpose of this terrifying show is to scare the crap out of you.
With birds popping out from all angles, dive-bombing the audience, and leaving their droppings wherever they feel like, this attraction fully delivers. Along with It’s Tough to be a Bug, Animal Kingdom is in the running for the Disney version of Halloween Horror Nights.
Since this show is so scary, you know you’re going to want to make a bathroom stop beforehand. This is where the accompanying restroom comes in handy. The walk from real Asia to Africa is a treacherous one, with lots of desert and political unrest. The walk from Animal Kingdom’s Asia to Africa, however, is quite nice! There’s lush vegetation, many food stands serving vegetation, and occasionally, walking vegetation.
There are nice tables here to relax for a bit and the path is well-traveled. But it is not terribly busy over here. The restroom is much the same. Plus, there are so many restrooms along the backside of Animal Kingdom, which helps disperse the crowd. Go ahead and hit it up before your nightmare begins. Don’t fall in, Bradley.
