The following history of DinoLand USA is fictional:
Welcome to Diggs County! In 1947, some dinosaur bones were discovered along the highway in a small town in the county. The small town became the center of prehistoric activity, with scientists from the Dino Institute setting up shot, a tour ride to the Cretaceous, a restaurant, and a playground. Chester and Hester, a local couple, took advantage of all the hubbub by setting up a tourist trap of a roadside carnival, complete with midway games and rides straight out of said carnival.
The following history of DinoLand USA is considerably less fictional:
Welcome to Animal Kingdom! This is a wonderfully large, thoroughly well themed, immersive theme park. That is, except for one land, which looks like a tourist trap of a roadside carnival, complete with midway games and rides straight out of said carnival.
Whatever your opinion of DinoLand USA, one thing is absolutely certain:
There are three sets of restrooms here. They are the previously blogged about Restaurantosaurus, the futurely blogged about Finding Nemo, and the currently blogged about Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures Restrooms.
Of the three, Chester & Hester’s is the busiest (unless the Finding Nemo show is starting or ending). This is because it is in a rather strategic position. Most people, which you, gentle reader, are included, will exit the Dinosaur ride and follow the trail right to Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.
Inside the shop, you can buy prehistoric Disney merchandise. Right outside is this restroom, which you may or may not need after riding Dinosaur. On the other side of the restroom is the ever-popular Primeval Whirl, which is a fun ride to ride at your local fireman’s carnival, county fair, California Adventure, or right here in DinoLand USA. In any event, it can get popular and it is a ride that requires a bathroom break first. This restroom, therefore, is attacked from all sides.
Do yourself a favor: Just go see Nemo on your way through this land to Everest. You won’t regret it.
