Are we on our way to Fantasyland, or Adventureland, or Discoveryland, or any landy-land at Parc Disneyland?
If you want to visit Toad Hall at Disneyland, you’ll find a wild ride.
At Walt Disney World, you might see something like this:
However, across l’ocean Atlantique, at Disneyland Paris, you’ll find Toad Hall, a restaurant!
Notice that Toad Hall and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride have quite similar entrances. Toad Hall serves such authentic French cuisine as fish & chips, chicken sandwiches, and salads. It’s pretty wild in there, but I’ve never seen any weasels. Also no cars driving through on their way to hell.
Around back, you’ll find the requisite restrooms.
There are three official restrooms in Fantasyland, but the ones near Bella Notte are waaaay far away. Mr. Toad’s delightfully themed restrooms are merrily tucked away nowhere in particular in the back of Fantasyland, so they are fairly quiet.
However, they are the closest restrooms to le Disneyland Railroad, Fantasyland Station. However however, disembarking passengers generally don’t stop here, as they are on their way to somewhere in particular (Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, mayhaps?). If you stopped here, you’re more inclined to use the restrooms near Les Voyages de Pinocchio, especially if you are merrily on your way to see those familiar Pirates. You know, those pirates from the French-speaking Caribbean. Really! It wasn’t all Spanish Main you know. That Spanish fort could just as easily have been French!
But I digress. These restrooms are right next to the “Meet Mickey” attraction, and you can bet all the little European children love the mouse as much as anyone else.
Mickey generates long lines and you know those little ones can’t wait that long. Soon enough, you’ll be hearing “j’ai besoin d’aller faire pipi”. This will generate some traffic over to Toad Hall.
So, if it is time for déjeuner and/or if Mickey is meeting les enfants, it is best to be merrily on your way to, as the French say, “la somewhere else”.
By the way, if you’re at Walt Disney World, and you really need to see Mr. Toad, you can find him on the wall in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (that ought to keep you busy) and one other place. Here’s a hint:
