At rope drop at Animal Kingdom, where do you run to first? Are you a Kilimanjaro person or an Everest Person? Or perhaps you meander slowly through the Oasis and Discovery Island, viewing the beautiful detail, fantastic theming, and interesting wildlife. Don’t be silly. I said ROPE DROP. There is NO meandering slowly, much to Disney’s chagrin. No, you are making a mad dash to safaris and roller coasters. Admit it.
There is, however, a rare breed (about 2 people, yours truly included) whose favorite attraction at Animal Kingdom is Dinosaur. Why is it your favorite attraction, you ask? Perhaps I am impressed by the feat of Imagineering. Perhaps I’ve visited with Indiana Jones at Disneyland and I know that the two attractions share ride technology. Perhaps I have a small bladder and I know the ride bounces me all around. Don’t know why that would make an attraction my favorite. It just means I have to be prepared.
So, if you’re like me, you loaded up on coffee early so you could get over to Animal Kingdom in time for rope drop. You’ve crossed the bridge into Dinoland (ooh, Trilo-bites!), and you’re sprinting to that secluded corner. Dinosaur is in site (get it? Like dig site? Never mind.), then it hits you. The coffee has caught up to you. Now, what do you do-o-saurus?
Luckily, the good folks over at the Dino Institute have got you covered-osaurus. On the right, leading to Dinosaur, you’ll see Restaurantosaurus.
The place opens for eating at 11, but the Restroomosaurus is available first thing in the morningosaurus. You’ll find it round back of Restaurantosaurus, on the left. Looking at the entrance to the Dinosaur area (you know the two pillars), turn around and follow the path to the rightosaurus. The Restaurantosaurus back entrance will lead you right to the Restroomosaurus.
Restroomosaurus matches the theming of Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus is themed quite extensively. If you have the time, take a look around and soak it in. However, if you are in a hurry, go in, go, and go out.
There are three official restrooms in Dinoland. If you are there before 11, then this is the place to be. After 11, or if you are approaching from the North, you may encounter a crowd. In that case, you may want to skip this one and go find Nemo…saurus.
Hysterical and very educational. I also especially liked the Mr. Clean and Crest White strips commercials. :-). r
