Some restrooms are just meant for me to write about. Especially if the attraction that supports said restroom contains all sorts of great double entrendres in its songs, such as “How Do You Do,” and “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah”.
Splash Mountain is an icon of Disney Parks and happens to be my personal favorite attraction. The Walt Disney World version is, in one humble man’s (and everyone else’s) opinion, the best version.
The reason, you ask? Why, the proximity to the restroom, of course! What, you thought maybe that whole side-by-side log thing? Why don’t you sit back and calm yourself and I’ll tell you all about it. The Frontierland Train Station is the actual location of the restroom, and it actually supports two e-tickets, the other being that Wildest Ride in the Wilderness.
When approaching the train station by foot, brer (get it? HA!) left for everybody’s laughing place, brer right for your resting place.
When I use the term “rest”, I use it very loosely. This place is hustle-bustle busy! Two e-tickets plus one train stop equals one high occupancy restroom!
This corner of the park is a dead-end, and crowds tend to gather. There are two restrooms nearby, but they are isolated on Tom Sawyer’s Island. Even on slow days in wintertime, when Splash Mountain is closed for money-saving refurbishment, this restroom is hopping!
So, if you want to sit and think and wiggle your toes in peace and quiet, might I suggest burying your treasure on the deserted island to the south?
