Hooray for Hollywood…restrooms. Those screwy ballyhooey Hollywood…restrooms. Oh they are so plentiful, da da da…Ok, I can’t rhyme or carry a tune. But you get where I am going here.
In most of DDMGMHSS (or Disney’s Disney MGM Hollywood Studios Studios, for long), the restrooms are rather spread out. The left side (AKA the backside AKA everything but Sunset Boulevard) boasts six restrooms.
But, from entrance to Aerosmith by way of Sunset, there are six more crammed in here!
Believe it or not, this somewhat makes sense. E-ticket attractions generally have their own restrooms, and there are two of those down here. Fantasmic, as a standalone show that is a ridiculously long walk away but still somehow in the park, also has its own restroom. But, you can’t get there unless Fantasmic is about to happen, or is happening, or has just happened. And if any of those happenings are happening, run. Fantasmic is isolated and crowded.
For all these reasons, you’d think that the restroom halfway down Sunset would be fairly empty. Well, that’s why you are dumb.
This restroom alone supports the six restaurants of the Sunset Ranch Market. It also supports Beauty and the Beast, the Broadway-style show about a vicious monster, the woman he imprisoned, and the man who comes to her rescue whom the vicious monster then kills so the woman immediately falls in love with the vicious monster.
This place is quite crowded around midday and when these two shows are getting out. Otherwise it’s fine. Use it right after you ride Midway Mania, which you raced to right after rope drop.
