Those who seek the restrooms of Norway face peril and adventure – but more often, find “let it go” jokes.
All things must pass.
Norway’s former restrooms are no exception to this rule.
Yes, Maelstrom was quirky. Yes, Maelstrom was fun. Yes, it showcased some of the real life of Norway.
But – and this is the most important thing – Frozen made $1 Billion. That’s a whole lot of kroner, so goodbye mythological historical creatures, hello mythological fictional creatures!
Maelstrom closed in 2014 to make way for Frozen Ever After. In addition to the ride overhall, a beautiful summer home titled Royal Sommerhus was constructed for Anna and Elsa to entertain guests. And, the Stave Church exhibit was updated to tie in to the movie.
In 2016, Frozen Ever After opened to huge crowds. The new attraction was seamlessly integrated into the existing space.
But more importantly, the new restrooms were bursting with life. Between the Royal Sommerhus, which is located in 90 degree heat and 90 percent humidity (just like Norway!), and this top attraction in World Showcase, you’ll find these busy restrooms.
If you came here with your companion animal, however, you’ll might get a little surprise:
These are high traffic restrooms. But, since all the kiddies are heading this way, I don’t see how you can avoid them. So you’ll just have to conceal, don’t feel, and accept change.
