The United Kingdom has drinking.
That’s a little unfair. That’s not all the UK has to offer. They also have shopping and eating of gross British food. The other countries have bars and such, but when I think of the United Kingdom, I think of nothing but drinking. And tea. And Mary Poppins. And drinking tea with Mary Poppins.
And drinking a couple of ales with Mary Poppins, then dancing on the bar with her. Okay, that last thing never happened.
After stumbling out of the Rose & Crown, filled with all that tea, you may want to make a little stop at the Hampton Court Palace. Now, you may know this palace as being built by Henry VIII (or, “The 8th”), famous king who was married to a whole bunch of women and then broke away from the Catholic Church. He was also written about by a slightly more famous writer than yours truly.
I know Hampton Court Palace, however, as a restroom, and a particularly delightful one at that.
This is well-placed as it is right across the street from the Rose and Crown Pub. It is fairly well-traveled, but what do you care, you drunk? After your jolly old pit stop, stop at the authentic non-time traveling United Kingdom phone booths for some jolly old cheap laughs.
